APPLE IPOD NANO 6TH GENERATION REVIEW
Positive: Small and portable. Well built. Responsive touch screen. Great to use as a watch. FM radio.
Negative: May be too small for some. No video playback. Limited features. Expensive.
Bottom Line: Great for using as a wrist watch. Very easy to use, however it has limited functions.
Price: $138.99 U.S
Full Review: The iPod nano is small. Very small. The touch screen is just over an inch tall. There is very little features on this device though. All it can do is play music, play the FM radio, show photos, play podcasts, be used as a pedometer, and be used a watch and that is it. The previous generation had a camera and allowed video playback. Now I have been using it as a watch. I bought a watch strap (see the review) and it works great in that. If you do not want to buy a watch strap for it, then that is fine. It can clip onto wrist bands with the metal clip on the back. It uses iTunes which may be a problem for some and not for others. Being used as a pedometer is great, however it drains the battery. I went from a full charge, and after using it for a day, drained to about half way. Without using the pedometer, I have not charged this thing at all this week. The battery allows about 8-10 hours of music playback. Which is great. The touch screen is easy to use, but small. Do not expect to be able to use this with large hands though. It is great to use while working out especially with the Nike + fitness application. Overall I will give this four stars. Minus one for limited functions for the high price. If the price was a lot lower then I would not care about the limited functions. You can buy an "Eclipse" version of this for a lower price. But the eclipse might not be as smooth and reliable as this one. I would recommend this product for those people who want something small to play music, if willing to pay the extra money. If you would like to use this as a watch, maybe not the best for that. A smart watch can be bought for a similar price.
