INSIGNIA NS-DSC7P09 REVIEW
Positive: 7.0 megapixels. Video recording. Easy controls. Lots of memory. Good zooming. Removable batteries. LED Flash.
Negative: High price for an outdated camera. Video quality is poor at 240p. Microphone is horrible. Not good in low lighting for videos.
Bottom Line: A good camera for being 5 years old. Not too cheap. However video quality is terrible.
Price: $119.99 U.S
Full Review: The camera I am reviewing is the pink version, and it does not belong to me, but I have used it a few times so I can make a review on it. It has a 7.0 megapixel camera. The quality is excellent for the time period. Pictures have good detail to them. However, not the video mode. The quality is 240p which means that it lacks detail. In low lighting it is hard to see things. The microphone is even worse. It makes a person sound as if they are talking into an old telephone. Loud noises will make a loud popping sound. If someone is talking at a very loud volume the sound will be distorted because it will cut in and out. The video quality will raise some questions if were filming with a potato.
Moving on, there is tons of memory in the device. Searching to find a video takes forever because of all the pictures and video taken previously on it. It is easy to navigate. But, showing videos to another person will be a pain as the controls of the video stay permanently on screen. Overall this camera can be bought for 25 dollars used. But for 120 dollars new, it is not worth it. There are plenty of cameras with better quality. This camera will get 3 stars. Minus 2 because of the video quality, microphone quality, and price.
